AGP graphics G4 firmware update failure

I am trying to upgrade firmware on a PowerMac G4/350 AGP Graphics box. I installed OS 9.1, launched the firmware updater v4.2.8, shut down and restarted with the programmer switch pressed until the long tone per the instructions.

I had a progress bar that almost finished, then black screen. Power button is now flashing in this pattern:

5 seconds green

1 second yelo

flash green

flash yelo

This has been repeating continuously. I tried killing the box with the power switch and restarted holding the programmer switch in until I got the tone. Same effect.

Have I hosed this machine?
