In Safari, open the Safari menu and select Preferences.

Then, click the Advanced tab in the Preferences window.

Then, at the bottom of the window, check the Show Develop menu in menu bar checkbox.

Then, open the Develop menu in the menu bar and select Enable WebGL.

Have fun!

Interesting: the new Google Maps just told me that it was working in "Lite" mode because my system doesn't support WebGL. But I have Safari 6.0.5, and the Develop menu is enabled, and Enable WebGL is checked.

What am I doing wrong?

I guess it's possible my graphics hardware isn't supported: 2009 Mac mini with NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256MB.

I did according to instructions and enabled WebGL on Safari, Chrome and Firefox but still all of them say WebGL is not supported. I updated all of them to the latest version as well.

I have Mac OS 10.6.8 on White 13" MacBook from 2007.

I even unchecked

When I look at Chrome://gpu I see this:

WebGL: Unavailable. Hardware acceleration disabled.
