Can't get to itunes store

I was working on this with a different Apple ID (I have about 50 so far), but I couldn't seem to sign in there today. I am trying to load apps on the new iPod touch (4th gen). It keeps wanting to verify my email but it won't open the iTunes store. I got Angry Birds on the computer, but it doesn't go to the iPod even though the auto synch is on. Though in that store it just says apps for iPhone and iPad. Maybe I can't order iPod games from the computer. I don't mind ordering from the iPod if I could get the store to open. &*^% I ordered Spy Mouse as a test, got the same error but then the game showed up. Now I'm trying to get the free barcode reader. Same thing - I can't get into the store.

Oh, the internet works just fine. We have a wireless router.
