With OS Lion, Cisco Linksys E3000 does not recognize and recommendation to upgrade indicated. Seems the upgrade is required in Cisco setup software...anyone out there with a success story?

Trying to set up my new Cisco e3000. It does not recognize my Lion software. Updates to Cisco available to anyone else? Other fixes tried and true?

You don't need the Cisco software to configure an E3000.

Connect directly to the E3000 with Safari.

I no longer have the factory firmware on my E3000 but it was either http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.2.1

Go to System Configuration -> Network -> Advanced -> TCPIP and it will tell you what the router's address is.

All configuration can be done there.

I was having the same problems and i did do the same things "retired engineer" said to do.....it did work. Definitely try it. I found the instructions online for setting it up from scratch. Problem i'm having is 2 teens in the house who want to stay up till crazy hours and then sleeping till past noon....not having it! i loved the easy parental controls on the disc but now i don't have them....anywhere i can look for "idiot proof" instructions? lol

still learning my way around my mac
