how can i put the name on top right corner of my finder bar?and can't c and drive connected to my computer on the desktop?

I wanna know how i can get my name to appear on the top right corner of my finder bar. And i cant c any drive that is connected to my laptop on the desktop like i could in snow leopord, i can access it through my finder window but it doesnt show up on my desktop??

so what you have to do is go up to the top left corner and click the apple icon and then click system preferences. then down at the bottom click the lock so you can make changes and then go to login options and click the white box that says show fast user switching menu as and then you can choose: full name, account name, or icon and then you clock the clock again to prevent further changes and there you go.

Finder>Preferences>General. Check the boxes.

Login as the user.

The name appearing at the top right of the menu bar is for accessing the Login menu, or switching between different User accounts.


If you don't have it, you could try looking in:


System Preferences > System > Accounts > Login Options


But I'm not sure exactly how you would turn that menu on or off. Maybe it only exists if you have multiple user accounts on the computer?
