Nov 21, 2011 1:37 PM in response to mdarseby StevenLu,So you used your SL installation also a lot and not only one hour a day? ;-)
Then it would be interesting, if it helps if we run Lion in 32bit mode. Your SL Installtion runs in 32bit or in 64bit? Maybe there is the problem.

Nov 21, 2011 1:45 PM in response to StevenLuby mdarse,I used it for something like a full day. On my computer, this graphics problem occurs many times in an hour so i considered that the problem is really linked to Lion.
For my SL install I haven't changed it to 64bit, and if I remember portable computers run in 32bit mode. How to turn Lion to 32bit to check ?

Nov 21, 2011 1:50 PM in response to ricardofromzoetermeerby StevenLu,Reboot manually and press 3 and 2. Then check
Apple() --> About this Mac --> More info --> Overview -->SystemReport
System Software Overview:
64-bit Kernel and Extensions:
No if it is boot into 32-bit,
Yes if it is booted 64-bit
I look forward to your feedback!
Do you have the issues posted in the 2nd post or in the first?

Nov 21, 2011 2:11 PM in response to mdarseby StevenLu,Ok, i am looking forward to your feedback.
I hope this bug is caused by software, don't want to return my mbp to apple store to repair it.
Maybe it will be fixed with 10.7.3, the beta was seeded to developers some time ago. We will see when it will be released public!

Nov 21, 2011 2:14 PM in response to StevenLuby mdarse,I don't think it's an hardware problem as a school friend (who as the exactly same MacBook as me) had the same issues.

So, since my last post i'm running Lion in 32bit mode, and for the moment I have not see any problem, so it seems to be a fix until Apple fix that.
Did you also tried this on your Mac ?
-
Nov 28, 2011 5:14 AM in response to mdarseby StevenLu,HI,
no - actually my Lion runs in 64bit mode. I wait for your test results ;-)
Anything new? Still no graphic articats in 32 bit mode?
Did you tell your friend, who has the same graphic artifacts? Does it also work for him?

Nov 28, 2011 12:25 PM in response to StevenLuby mdarse,Hi,
No artifacts so I restarted in 64bit mode yesterday. For now there isn't any problem under 64bit, it's strange.
I asked today my friend to try 32bit kernel mode, in few days we will have feedback. But on his mac problems are occuring less often.
