that would depend on if the sky app support airplay if it does then yes

That sounds right, Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues)

Just spoken to Sky tech support and they confirmed that airplay is indeed not enabled on Sky Go, which as others have said above is the reason for the lack of video when attempting to stream.

They did however also confirm that they will be enabling it, so it's not that it's something they wont allow, it's just something they haven't gotten round to doing yet.

Apparantely they have a schedule of changes going up to the end of the year (adding the other channels that arent on the ipad app, etc), and enabling airplay is one of the things they plan to do, but they weren't more specific than that.

As this thread is over 3 years old, the OP is probably long gone. As stated above, the app was blocked (by sky go) from AirPlay, this still stands
