I'm using Preview to capture my signature with the iSight camera. Problem is that once I click accept, it doesn't save anything. Does any one know how to make it save?
Also, is there a way to get an existing (signature) image into Preview's signatures?
EDIT:
After restarting Preview, it works....at least with iSight. Doesn't look like you can add existing images.

I have the same problem. However, I still haven't fount the way to fix it... I'll keep you posted.
I was having the same issue with my wife's new iMac running Lion 10.7.2. The signature would lock in nicely within the small preview window but pressing the Accept button did nothing.
On a whim, I ran Photo Booth to verify the camera was working properly. Photo Booth performed a small update then proceeded to run as advertised.
After exiting Photo Booth I tried again to capture a signature with Preview and this time it worked perfectly.

I had the same problem - just took a picture with Photo Booth as suggested by ccBob. Quit and restarted Preview - worked like a charm! 😎
I know this post is becoming old, but I just had the same problem and fixed it by following ccBob. Great thanks! A bug that needs to be fixed thanks apple.
So, I tried this and it didn't work. 😟 All is not lost though. Next I quit all applications I had open that use the iSight camera. Which, at the time was Skype, QuickTime and iChat. Then I opened Preview again and it worked.
Quitting Skype fixed the issue (Mountain Lion).
I had to quit Messages in Mountain Lion (which uses the iSight camera), then was able to save my signature in preview.
CCbob's Photobooth fix worked for my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8.2). Thank you. The issue seems to be occurring to new systems that have not previously taken a picture. You can also see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3291968
Run Photobooth!
Running photobooth for a second, took one picture then quit, then signature worked after I took picture of signature and went thru the menu. Weird flaw.
What a weird pain. I ended up doing both, not sure which did the trick but they worked.
1) Run Photobooth and take photo
2) Quit applications, including my browser, which I suspected perhaps Gmail/Hangouts could use iSight, too.
