A few days before I downloaded Lion, the names of the finder sidebar, the standard dock folders and my home folder changed from German to English. What can I do to change back to German?

Well I am surprised by your answer. I thought that if you had used it, maybe something of the settings was left behind after uninstalling it.
I do not think it will solve your issue, but try it, you will never know....😉
The problem is, that the app can't change the system language, only the language of installed apps.
I figured it out on my own. Thank you anyway.
Finder sidebar, standard dock folders (Applications, Documents and Downloads) and home folder in English (Lion and also Snow Leopard)!
