assign aftertouch to the Electric Piano's tremolo

Hello,

I can't seem to assign the aftertouch or C-Press to anything. I'm using a Novation Remote SL and Logic 9. I am not using Novations Automap (yet). Just plugging in my Novation controller is working. I can play all the instruments, the mod wheel works, and some of the knobs work with different instruments, and I can reassign any knob to any instrument setting. But how does a person assign the aftertouch to a virtual instrument knob? When I hit a key, Logic thinks I am selecting that note.

Thanks.

Maybe my post isn't written very well. I will try again.

I have a Novation ReMOTE SL keyboard controller with all the bells and whistles. I am able to assign the pitch bend, the knobs, the faders, and the x/y pad to various parameters in all the software instruments. It's so easy, a caveman can do it. However, how do you assign the aftertouch to a parameter? Seems to me I might have to type in some control code manually that links a control to the aftertouch.

I hope someone can help.

Open the environment, add an instrument connected to a transformer connected to your VI channel strip. Then play through the instrument you've just created putting it in the arrange.

Check if your novation output polyphonic (p-press) or channel (c-press) aftertouch. Didn't tryed but should work. In my example channel aftertouch will be transformed to control 7 (volume) and other parameters pass untouched thru the transformer. Just change the value '7' to the value that will control the tremolo.

The monitor windows you see are not necessary but I find them very useful to check things and spot problems. Here you should see in the lower one the c-press vslue and in the upper the control 7 value.
