vBulletin 4 on Mac OS Lion Server & PHP mySQL support?

Hi, need some help / advice.

Trying to install vBulletin 4.1.5 on one of our Mac Lion servers. Have installed mySQL v5.5.15 and it has PHP v5.3.6 and they are running but get I get errors like;

- Can't communicate w database

But I can talk to the db via Navicat (a db Mgr program) with same login.

- Can't find files on server

But they are fysically there.

1) Could anyone confirm or deny if PHP om Lion has support for mySQL?

2) Any tips, suggestions or pointers on how to reslove this?

3) Anyone having a vBulletin 4 up and running on Mac Lion Server?
