Why would ipad solarize these photos?

I've just uploaded this site www.newmeadowcamp.com. Everything shows up correctly on my mac and iphone. On the ipad, however, photos on this page alone appear solarized www.newmeadowcamp.com/who.html. Can anyone tell me why?

i notice that most, but not all, are solarized. Sometimes i get pictures from my brother that come through that way. They look fine everywhere except on the i pad. When I chased it down with him, the software he uses (sometimes) to move his pictures from his camera to his computer is an offbeat system, and I think it uses a particular kind of encoding that the pad does not support. I do not think there is anything easy that you can do about it, short of writing to the site people, and have them get a new camera.....if you really need to see the pictures on your pad, capture them on your pc, resave them in a standard format then sync or e mail them to your self.

This will also happen from time to time with non standard pdf encoders.

in most contexts, solarized is an effect you can apply to pictures. Reminds me of rock posters from the '80s, or obama's hope poster from the last election. If you want to see, goto the link deb mentions in her original post, and go there in safari on your i pad. you will see some messed up pictures - that look like they are solarized.
