Magsafe power adapter LED light flashing from green to red

I have started having issues with my power adapters LED light flashing interminttently from red to green. The battery icon will show charging and then show it is plugged into the power cord. 😕 I did all the checks within the Support page but none of them helped. I have the 13" Macbook Pro so I am not supposed to do anything with the battery. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am beginning to get a little disappointed within my Mac. Thanks!
