Iphone/Macbook hierarchy

Hi,

Which is dominant between iphone and macbook? What I'm trying to ask is - when I make changes to anything on my iphone or macbook (contacts, calender, apps...), once I sync them, one hardware has the updated version and the other has the previous version. Which will it sync by? The latest version? Or is one of the instruments regarded as the dominant one? I found that when I tried to delete apps from my iphone, and once I synced it with my macbook it synced the apps back on the iphone again. Same thing with contacts - I would like to refresh my contacts, but I don't want to do this twice, and if I do it only on one device - I'm afraid that with my next sync it will sync according to the old contact list.

Sorry for using so many words to explain a pretty simple question...

Thanks,

Chepi

The only time I think there would be a conflict is when you change the same contact in the computer and on the iPhone. The purpose of the sync is to keep the two the same, so if you change something on the iPhone, it changes it on the computer. If you change something on the computer, it changes on the iPhone. The "dominant" one as you call it is the one that has the latest change on it.

As far as apps are concerned, you probably got that back on the iPhone because they are still on the computer. iTunes is set by default to sync all apps to the iPhone, so if it is still on the computer, it will sync to the iPhone. If I want one off the iPhone, I just take the checkmark off of it on the computer and sync. Works great for me.
