IMPORTED VIDEO HAS HELICOPTER-LIKE NOISE

When I have imported video in the past the combined clip plays and it sounds like my audio is trying to talk over a helicopter engine or a lawn mower.

Whenever I have extracted audio from the clip the noise goes away and I only hear my audio.

Now, even the extract audio function doesn't help.

Any clues?? It has been this way on ilife '05 and '06!!

Kmax,

Be sure to keep the install file for the FORMAC as you will have to re install it from time to time. Watch your automatic software updates, as everytime that Quicktime is updated, you will want to reset the iMovie options and update it. If that doesn't work, reinstall the FORMAC software.

It gets very fustrating, but now you can at least import most of the time. I always import a small section and test it, just to make sure.
