Is anyone familiar with MP3Rocket for downloading music? Not sure if it is safe to use with Mac. Any info would be most helpful. Thank you.

Such services are basically a scam. They claim access to a ton of free music, but all they are is a "front end" to the P2P sharing systems such as Kazaa, the content of which is almost all pirated (except for the malware commonly distributed through these systems disguised as the stuff most in demand by people too cheap to purchase from legitimate companies). MP3Rocket has no content of their own, as they say right in their terms. All you get from these scammers is some dubious "search" capability and claims of "support", largely useless.

Avoid at all costs.

MP3 Rocket only has Windows version. If you want to install MP3 Rocket on Mac, you should look for alternatives. But for downloading music, you have to avoid copyright issues first.

You can search and download songs from some music sharing website like YouTube, iTunes, MySpace, Amazon, etc. Of course, most of them need pay.

Or you can search MP3 Rocket for Mac alternative in AlternativeTo.com. You can get enough options like Any MP3 Downloader.
