I have no internet connection in my room so I would like to download the firmware in my office and upload it in a second time in my room.
Someone can help me to download the firmware without start iTunes and then install the firmware in a second time.

did you get an answer ? when I click update in iTunes on mac, I am prompted to select a file ... can I download nano 1.1 firmware ?
You should only be prompted to select a file if you click that update button while holding down the option key on a mac. If it is asking you to select a file, you may have something up with your keyboard.
