Anything you want yes.
From a tiny SSD to 3TB hard drive.

It doesn't matter!! All Mac Pro from 1,1 2006 (like mine) accept 4 such 2TB or larger drives.
Why screenshot? I think you are lost....

Apple makes a huge mistake in saying "supports up to XYZ-GB" when a) there is no limit; and b) they don't change and upgrade their specs when new drives come out. They base their statements on what was available at the time is all. Which makes such statements meaningless and confusing.
Want a site with good upgrade articles try this:

3TB drives work, and WD Black 2TB or Green are fine. The 1.5TB is $109 and you could stripe a few if you want also.
before posting here, i was thinking the exact same thing.

You'll have no worries with TB sized HDs.Do a bit of research on good brands that are fast and reliable.
Install instructions are here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/MacPro_HardDrive_DIY.pdf
Should the mood strike you, you could even upgrade your 5160s with 5355s for an 8-core which apparently are plentiful and based on the number of people, popular.
An SSD boot drive (in optical bay; using SATA from ODD port) and 4 x 1.5TB makes a nice system. Good investments. Throw in the ATI 5770 if you haven't already. And it would be as current as can be. In small steps too.
thank you! i'll go for western digital one's.
in your opinion for pro use is better the black series rather than green?
thanks!
thans again!
i have already installed the ati 5770 and is awesome and very quiet compared with the ati radeon x1900 i had before.
Green can be iffy for some users, fine for others, most feel black for performance and active work and use green for storage archive and backups only.
X1900s were dust magnet, trouble, recalled, etc. so yes glad you took that step. And yikes, $250 BTO or $399?
true about the X1900!
The price when i bought the ati 5770 i think was 250(euro) € so converting it to $ would be around 350.
one more question, can i add a sata 3 hard disk.
i am interested on this one > western digital WD20EARX
thanks!
