Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem...

Hi everyone!

I need some help 😟

I am trying to update software from standart "Software update..." tool or would like to connect to App Store, but can not.

When I am trying to update immediately get a message: "Software Update can't check for updates because of a network problem" and next "Software Update can't connect to the server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then try again". And its offers me to make "Network diagnostics" witch shows that Internet and Server red (unavailable) but there is no problem with a network. I can do everything - browsing, download updates from iTunes and do all what I want.

In console I see this text:

07.09.11 13:42:57,007 com.apple.SecurityServer: Failed to authorize right 'system.install.app-store-software' by client '/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/PackageKit.framework/Versions/A/Resources/in stalld' [14547] for authorization created by '/System/Library/CoreServices/Software Update.app' [14536]

AppStore writes me that connection failed.

I am very sad about it 😟 There was nothing before this problem.

Does somebody understand console secret text? And can somebody help me?

Hi, I cant update, getting this error in console:

Software Update[262] Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001 UserInfo=0x1006659e0 "The request timed out." Underlying Error=(Error Domain=kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork Code=-1001 UserInfo=0x100662f60 "The request timed out.")

anyone that can help?

I have tried:

- changing location in network preferences.

- deleted /librarary/Preferences/ com.apple.softwareupdate.plists

- Add the following line to your /etc/hosts file: 80.67.74.160 swcdn.apple.com

- deleted Cache in both user/Library and /Library

Problem seems to be only on one MBP > Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
