I get stocked with color wheel when I perfom adjustments andit makes the process slower in previews

Hi I am struggling while im working with Aperture. when i am trying to adjust brushes my tool point gets stocked with a color wheel and it amkes the process alot slower plesae help

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)
