I never heard of a coupon alert in the toolbar but try View>Customize Toolbar and delete it from there.

Sounds like a third party Safari add on that cannot be deleted by "customizing the toolbar" ..
Follow the instructions here > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
View>Customize Toolbar and delete it from there.

Thanks for your quick response! I was able to follow that link and remove the toolbar manually. It took a few tries, but everything seems to be working properly now! A million thanks!

I found the problematic file in the folder: ~/Library/Safari/Extensions. Once I deleted it, the toolbar was gone. I didn't find any related files in the folders listed in the link posted by Carolyn.

While I was searching on how to remove this toolbar I found these directions.
Go to Safari
Click go to Preferences
Click on Extensions
and remove from there...
OMG.. there gone, there all gone and it's about time too. 🙂
