I have some problems activating the numlock on my macbook.
The numlock is needed for my scanning device.(scanning barcodes)

Usually the 'Fn-F6' key-combo should activate the NumPad.

As far as I know every MacBook Pro keyboard has the num-pad feature.
Have you checked with the MacBook Pro manual yet ?

The recent versions of Mac OS X combined with current MacBook or Apple Wireless Keyboards do not support NumLock function.
There is a 3rd party freeware app called NumLock that is meant to restore this functionality for OS X 10.7 and later.
