Phantom Safari Plug-In?

I installed a video application which apparently used a Safari Extension of some kind. The application didn't do what I wanted, so I used its own "remove" program to remove it. But now I get an error message whenever I start Safari:

"Safari 5.1 has not been tested with the plugin VideoboxSafariPlugin.bundle (null) (v1.4). As a precaution, it has not been loaded. Please contact the plugin developer for further information."

The problem is, there's no such plug-in, as far as I can tell. Loading the plugin list reveals nothing by that name, searching the hard drive reveals nothing by that name, either. I checked contents as well as file names. VideoboxSafariPlugin.bundle does not exist as far as I can tell.

I also looked for plug-ins with today's dated as a date modified. The only one is the Quicktime Plug-In. Maybe I need to reinstall Quicktime, assuming that the video software installer edited it for some reason?

Any thoughts? I really want to get rid of that error message and delete whatever's ailing Safari.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

First, check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If it's there, delete it.

If you don't see it in the Extensions pane, try the paths you see here >

Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

I've had Videobox installed for years, so I'm not sure why it suddenly started generating an error message just as I UNinstalled an apparently unrelated application (it was iSkySoft's Free Video Downloader that created the issue today), but that's what happened.

I found another thread here with the same problem:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2111061

And the directory they suggested there was where it was (why it didn't show up in a Spotlight search I really don't know).

File deleted, Safari happy.

Thanks everyone!
