how do I sync multiple devices

I have an Ipad 64G, Ipod classic 160G, Iphone 32G and a nano 8G. I have 80G of music in my library. How do I manage my music between devices? When I sync my iphone I check the music I want and sync......no problems. On my 160G Ipod I want all of my music so I check all of the music and sync........no problems. When I want to go back and alter my music on my iphone or other devices all of my music is check so when I plug my device in, it wants to load all 80G of music and of course it won't let me. Now i have to go back and uncheck all the music that won't fit. As you can see with evertything froma 8G device to a 160G device this is a pain in the ***!

Use selected playlists. Only connect one device at a time. Each device will remember the playlists it syncs with.

The checkboxes are best suited for marking tracks that you are unlikely to want to hear by chance, e.g. interview tracks at the end of albums, or holiday music out of season, but which you nevertheless wish to keep in your library.
