I can't connect to my home wifi

For about a month now, I've been unable to use my home wifi network on my iPhone 4 32gb. According to SETTTINGS on the phone its connected to the network, but instead of the wireless symbol in the status bar I still only get the 3g symbol.

The phone connects to the network at work and other places just fine, but its always been a little bit shaky at home. I've restored the phone to factory settings, got the latest version of iOS, reset and rebooted the router..... I'm at a loss now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.3

Try these, in order, until something works.

  1. Make sure the router has the latest firmware
  2. Go to Settings/WiFi, tap on the arrow to the right of the router name, then tap "Forget this network" and try again.
  3. Go to Settings/General/Reset on the phone, and Reset Network Settings
  4. Make sure that you haven't enabled MAC filtering on the router and left out the iPhone

After all of this, if it still doesn't work, wait for it to connect, the tap on the arrow to the right of the network name and note the IP address. If it starts with 169.254 you have a router problem; the router is not assigning an IP address.
