Saving space on External Recovery Disk

The first external Recovery Disk install used the entire 16GB USB disk and made it invisible in the Finder. So here's a tip to save your USB disk space when creating a Lion external Recovery Disk. Format your USB disk into two partitions using Disk Utility. Make the first partition 1GB, (Mac, Journaled) and format the second partition to whatever you need. Now choose your new 1GB partition during install. You may have to restart to mount the disk again.
