what's the best anti-virus for Ipad 2 wifi-3G? And do i really need it?

Hi all, what's the best anti-virus for Ipad 2 wifi 3G? Do you reckon it's a must?

Do you have any suggestions for when my screen stops working, is it normal?

Bluetooth connection only works with MAC devices or also Nokia, for example? I cannot send a Pages document from Ipad to my Vaio pc.

Thanks.

Apple iOS is exceptionally secure. But while there is no known malware for iOS, you can still download or forward infected files to other computers. Whether you use an iPhone or iPad, you need to be aware that these devices can pass on files that can harm your other computers.

That being said, due to the way Apple has built iOS, it's not possible to install a standard antivirus program. In addition, software cannot run in the background, to provide real-time scanning of files downloaded or received by email. However, the Apple security company Intego has developed an on-demand scanner called VirusBarrier iOS: http://www.intego.com/virusbarrierios/

I like it because, in my opinion, a little bit of protection is better than no protection.

What does any of that have to do with iPads, which us a different operating system than Macs?

And an even more interesting question: why are you dredging up all these old threads and posting this misinformation?

Hi

Meg you are right old posts should be removed after 1year or sooner.

You seem to have misread my post. I never said nor do I believe, that old posts should be removed after a year. Many old threads have good information in them that is still helping people. There is a least one thread I posted in about two years ago that gets a "thanks, this really helped me" post every couple of months.

However, there is no point in dragging up and "answering" a post that has been dormant for years, especially if the answer is not even relevant.
