okay, i found a way around this! ;-)
want to assign midi in GARAGEBAND and can't? here is the solution: NOVATION BASS STATION! this is an AU plugin, and it does MORE than any of the garageband soft synths! the setup is a graphic view of the classic bass station synth! there are 3 lfos, a vcf, and more! there are a ton of presets, one even named MOOG!
with this plugin, which can be used in garageband, you can EASILY assign the OZONE knobs to cutoff, resonance, etc! ;-)
i am not sure if BASS STATION is still available as an AU plugin anymore, but i found my copy on ebay, of the same vintage of my g4 mac.
