iPhone3 - app icons frozen in"waiting" state!

Have iPhone 3G. Was trying to update a few of my apps. I now have seven app tcons in a frozen " waiting..." for the last three days! Can't even delete them - i tried! I reset & tried restore - no lunck.

It's like in the download process it got stuck!!! Can't delete them & try again.

Any suggestions to deal with this!
