Will a Sony DCR-HC90E work with imovie on my G4 ibook ??

Hi
Looking to buy a camcorder to use with my G4 ibook.
will the above work and will i have to buy anything extra to
get it to work ??
any other info on other camcorders welcome.
I am a complete beginner so basic answers please 🙂

Welcome to iMovie Discussions.

Yes, it'll work.

You'll also need to buy a 4-pin-to-6-pin FireWire (also known as DV or i.Link) cable to connect a camcorder to your Mac. This cable will not be in the box, although a USB cable will probably be. The USB cable is for transferring stills, not video.
