Sep 11, 2011 12:00 PM in response to Condisby Ingo2711,The "No Service" message appears in the upper left corner of the display
- Try toggling Airplane mode "on" and "off". Wait several seconds between the "off" and "on" modes.
- If that doesn't work, try another location.
- If another location works, but the original location still does not, contact your carrier to report the issue.
- If the message is present in all locations, have the iPhone serviced.

Aug 3, 2016 3:13 PM in response to Condisby Steve64E,iPhone 5s, Verizon Service Provider, version 9.3.3.
Phone cycles from LTE, 3G, 1x, & No Service non stop. The phone will not do anything until connected to wifi, then wifi options work but no phone calling ability.
If i turn off "Location Services", then "restart my phone"..... everything works normal (phone, text, email, apps) until i turn the "Location Services" back on.
I assume something wrong with software. PLEASE HELP!

Aug 7, 2016 3:16 PM in response to Condisby RobbinRuby,Hey Condis, usually after an update it is recommended that you wait until your phone is back to normal. Other things you could do is restart you phone, reinsert sim card and reset network settings. Please see more instruction here: http://www.technobezz.com/no-service-on-iphone/

Re-boot ipad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:
1) Do a full backup of your device if needed. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977
2) Three ways of restoring your ipad. [ as easy as abc ]
2.a) "You can use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings and the latest version of iOS."
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
2.b) Be a little more insistent: "You can put your iOS device into recovery mode, then restore it using iTunes.:
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263
3.c) At last resort you could consider DFU (Device Firmware Update). This could void your warranty.

Aug 13, 2016 3:21 PM in response to Steve64Eby Myksterx, steve, and anyone else having the same trouble I've had.
I Think I have nailed it and fixed the phone (24 hours without signal drop)
i downgraded from 9.3.4 back to 9.3.2 because Apple was still signing.
MY phone still had the same problem for a number of days.
THe iphone kept prompting me to upgrade to 9.3.4...
which i ignored for a number of days and one day I thought well I have nothing to lose!
(at the point ode been looking around at Samsung phones etc)
i upgraded from 9.3.2 to 9.3.4 and so far... My phone is working fine?!?!?
What I can say is, originally before I upgraded to 9.3.4 in the first place which caused me the problems,
i hadn't installed 9.3.2 or 9.3.x for that matter. I think I was still on a few releases behind - as I remember skipping them until I messed up and accepted 9.3.4.
ANyhow, I think it's possible in my case (touch wood it works fine)
that because I had upgraded to 9.3.4 from an older version maybe 9.1 tbh..
i Had skipped updates in between which messed my signal.
BUt it upon downgrading to 9.3.2 then upgrading again to 9.3.4..
all ll seems well and good?
i Will keep thread up to date anyhow!

Aug 14, 2016 5:39 AM in response to Myksterxby Steve64E,My phone is back up too.... with 9.3.4. I did not downgrade.. due to apple tech support daily interaction.
Apple tech support provided me the following link:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
BLUF: It forces your phone to boot a clean version of 9.3.4 (or the most updated version if somebody reads this after 14 Aug 16)
Phone has work now for over a week. I tried to crash it by opening every app at the same time..... didn't matter.
good luck

Aug 24, 2016 1:57 AM in response to Condisby Naji_K,Hi All,
I am coming with the solution ..
I have an iPhone 6 64GB and after upgrading to IOS 9.3.4 the device couldn't connect to cellular anymore. On the status bar it kept showing "Searching" and sometimes shows "No Service". I also noticed that tapping the word Carrier under Settings>General>Aboutwas showing PRL 1
Anyway, I googled and searched everywhere and tried many solutions including the drop your phone solution, that many claim it had helped them, but it did not resolve my device problem. I was frustrated with this problem for a couple of weeks I even opened the phone and took apart all parts to find out if anything is wrong! Then reassembled it again but nothing has changed! Still Searching for network. I found many many many solutions posted online, so I did a backup for my iPhone through iTunes and tried the following:
- Restart the phone
- Turn Airplane mode ON, turn off device, remove SIM, Insert SIM, Start device
- Turn off Cellular data, Turn Airplane mode ON,turn off device, remove SIM, Insert SIM, Start device, Cellular data ON, Airplane mode ON
- Reset Network Settings
- Reset All Settings
- Erase All Content and Settings
- Restore iPhone through iTunes
- Restore iPhone through DFU mode
- Setup as new iPhone
- Hard reset the phone (hold home button and sleep/wake-up buttons till phone restarts)
- upgraded to IOS 10 beta,
- downgraded to IOS 9.3.2
- upgraded to IOS 9.3.4
That's all I remember, I cant write all what I have tried during the two weeks trials
Some of the above resolved the issue TEMPORARILY, the device was working for couple of days sometimes couple of hours then it was going back to the Searching/No Service problem again.
Finally, the steps to resolve this problem permanently:
- Hold both (Home + Sleep/Wake-up) Buttons till the phone restarts and shows the Apple logo, KEEP HOLDING both buttons until the phone completely turns OFF.
- Wait for a minute
- turn your phone back ON
It sounds very silly solution, BUT it WORKS
