AirPort Extreme Intermittent Contact

Installed a new AEBS this week, setup went well, but have a recurring problem now--while I can access the Internet fine (how I'm writing this), making connections to the AEBS is spotty. For instance, most wireless backups via TimeMachine to a network disk work fine, but now, AirPort Utility can't find the base station, even though I'm logged in and have online access. The display indicator on the AEBS is a sold green, and network connections are stable. Short of continually rebooting the AEBS, is there a solution to this?

System Info:

MBP 15", 2011, running MacOS X, 10.7.1

AirPort Extreme Base Station, 5th Generation

Cable Modem to Internet

More recent edit:

Tried logging out on the MBP, issue not resolved, but a hard restart of the MBP allowed me to find the AEBS right away. Network setting on MBP, or hardware/config issue, perhaps?
