Airflick

I cannot seem to get Airflick(.51) to send web based content to ATV2. I am running MacBook Pro with 10.6.8 OS X. Everytime I tried to send a Hulu video URL to Airflick ATV2 gives "An error occurred loading this content." I have updated the software for my ATV2 and reset the unit and Airplay is on with no password. I do not any firewalls up either. Can I simply send a Hulu video URL to Airflick or do I have to do something else. I have also watch Netflix through ATV2 so I know that the internet connection is working. I have also sent still images to ATV2 through Airflick. Can someone please help. Im about to pull the rest of my hair out.

Welcome to the Apple Community.

I'd be very wary about Airflick, if you read the developers website they clearly admit it doesn't work properly, indeed I saw a video produced by the developer which showed it not working properly which I can't find at the moment. When a developer makes these sorts of statements I wonder what hope for the rest of us.

I test a lot of software here to be able to help provide feedback in these communities, in it's current state i won't even consider installing that software on my mac for fear of what damage it might do.

Well of course it's entirely up to you.

From the developers website

Apple TV error messages with AirFlick? Use supported data types and don't be afraid to try again. Press menu to dismiss the error, press Play in AirFlick to re-send.

If you still want to use the Airflick product I suggest you get in touch with the developer.

I haven't been able to find a negative review(saying it has damaged there Mac) from someone that has downloaded the software other than it doesnt work flawlessly. Therfore, I have to beleive that the developer has taken this product as far as they feel like they need to considering that they are not trying to sell it. As far as there disclosure statement:

This work 'as-is' I provide.

even though they are not charging for the software, in this sue happy world they have to disclose this information in order to protect there kind sole ( in providing something for free) from someone that would blame someone else for giving them something for free.
