Apogee Duet 2 on the iPad

I have used the Apogee One successfully on the iPad but wanted the ability to record 2 inputs and have better quality converters. Does anyone have experience or know if the Duet 2 will work with the iPad? I have a Duet 2 to test out but so far, it will not turn on when connected to the iPad even after a successful setup in Maestro 2. I have the camera connectivity kit and a powered USB hub, but the Duet 2 comes with its own power supply. I would think that not using a hub would perhaps allow for cleaner recordings. Anyway, will this interface work with the iPad? Thanks.
