Panasoinc TM90 1080-60p Footage

HI There,

I'm trying to import footage shot on a Panasonic TM90 that was shot in the 1080/60p mode. However the only footage that seems to show up when trying to import in FCPX is that which was shot in the 1080/60i mode. Checking the compatibily of the camera to FCPX on this site, it says nothing to indicate the 60p mode is not compatible, as it does with other cameras. Any one have any experience with this. I am quite new to FCP and these video formats.

Thanks,

- Mal

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the reply.

The TM90's AVCHD files that it do work with FCPX importing are actually 59.94fps, but they are interlaced. It just doesn't seem to support the progressive files. However I have been converting them to H264 M4V format with handbrake at the same frame rate and it seems to import just fine @ 59.94p after that. I ideally however do not want to compress the media further and I guess I would at least like to re-wrap it in a different container if I have to so I'll give ClipWrap a try. I don't understand what you mean by 'does not support importing 59.94fps media' as I obviously have been able to do so?

Thanks,

- Malik
