MacBook 3,1 AirPort

I have an older 2007 MacBook Pro (3,1) that I'm having AirPort issues with. The strange thing about these issues is that:

1. I only have wireless issues at home (works perfectly at work, school, public WiFi like Panera, hotels, etc.)

2. None of my other Macs have issues at home (2010 iMac i3, 2009 unibody MacBook Pro, 2008 white MacBook - even my old eMac and flowerpot G4 are fine)

3. I realize I live in an apartment with many sources of interference, but I have tried every channel on my router to no avail.

4. I am using a Netgear Wireless-N 300 router.

Basically what is happening is, the AirPort tries to connect to the router and it flips back and forth between AirPort On - not connected to any network and AirPort On - No IP Address. Every ONCE in a blue moon, does it actually connect to the router and to the Internet.

I appreciate any thoughts and advice in advance!
