Receiving only partial texts

I just bought a new iPhone 4G a couple of days ago and absolutely love it except for the fact that I can't seem to receive full texts from my boyfriend. Our texts are never more than 2 pages long. He uses a company blackberry and has no problem receiving my texts; however, I get either just the first page (01/02) or just the second page (02/02) and it's always labelled which part I get.

It's so frustrating especially since I never had any issues on my old phone (a 5-year old Motorola razor). It took me this long to finally splurge and update my cell phone and now I can't enjoy his texts like I used to. Not sure if it makes a difference - he's with Telus and I'm with Bell?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Max 2 pages because at the beginning of the message I'll see "02/02: ...". And I can tell it's the last page just because of what's written. It's the "01/01: ..." part that's missing.

Texts are not normally measured by pages they are measured by number of characters. Most providers/phones have a limit to how long a text can be and the Blackberry may be cheating this limit in a way that the iPhone is having trouble with.

I'm having the exact same problem... Blackberry 9780 on Telus texting me on my new iPhone 4S on Bell. Any one know if there is anythign that can be done about this?

Exact same problem here.. I'm guessing it's not an apple thing but your service provider.

If the problem isn't the service provider (AT&T, Verizon, and so on) then they might be sending over 160 characters. If you go beyond that, the messages come out in blurps, or incomplete.

To add a little number system that displays how many characters you typed, you can go to

Settings>Messages>Character count

|__Turn on this slider.

After that you should be good.
