Overlapping favorites delete each other

I'm trying to organize 1 long clip into many sections.

I tried setting favorites right next to each other (ie contiguous)

For example, do this:

Frame 1 IN, frame 10 OUT Set as Favorite.

Frame 11 IN, frame 20 OUT Set as Favorite

Now, if you do this, the first favorite disappears.

"All Clips" is stil showing, it's definitely been deleted/overwritten.

I guess there's a technical explanation for this?

I'm thinking that the underlying problem is that technically speaking, when setting an OUT, it's actually 1 frame after the one you're looking at. Basically to make sure you can't select a range of 0 frames.

And since the "Favorite" feature seems to lack the feature of "overlapping", your first favorite get clobbered.

Is this how this would be "technically" justified.

I mean, would this be considered a "bug" or something the user is expected to be conscious of?

A lot of people recommend using favorites as a way of keeping track of what you've placed in the timeline, as currently there is no feature that tells you what clips (or parts of clips) are used/unused. I'm on the fence with that, as it is easy to let that get out of sync once you start trimming in the timeline.

Using Keywords (and smart collections) is actually the best way to go for organizing your footage in the Event Browser.
