App pictures not showing in App store on IPAD2

From your home screen - double tap the home button and all of your recent apps will show up in the task bar. Tap and hold down on one of the icons until they all wiggle. Tap the minus signs to close all of the apps. Tap the screen above the task bar. Restart the iPad.

Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide to shut down. Hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears to start up. Try the app store again

That icon is usually a sign that the iPad is low on memory - or at least that's what I've always thought. Try resetting the iPad. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Then try again.

What registration are you referring to that has expired? Only your credit card expiring would impact downloading apps and you would get a message from iTunes when you try to download apps. You would still be able to see the app icons.

It takes about 10 or 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - usually - but it does take a couple of minutes for the iPad to completely start up again.
