Double-click on the Event to open its Info window. Click the Edit button, and you can edit the date, time, and other details of the event.
thanks, yes i know that. but i would like to chnage the default of this like to one hour instead of the mark of all-day event. My iCal always defaults to All-Day for new appointments. It didn't use to do this before I upgarded to Lion.
I have the same problem. Very annoying. Especially since I have registered online for calendar notifications from an association that I work with, and all of their notifications DEFAULT into my calendar as all day events. This never happened before Lion. How do we fix this? Very annoying.
This is an incredibly annoying problem. Apple is not supporting its applications. There are many known problems such as this which are only being addressed in the once-a-year (at best) app updates. This is unacceptable. It sounds like Micrisoft to suggest that you switch to edit and change it. It isn't working, guys. Fix it!
I also have the same issue and it truly is annoying. Surely there must be some way to chasnge the default setting? Come on Apple - fix it!
This is still a problem in Calendar. It is very irritating and is another example of how Mac "improvements" are actually "disimprovements". There was never this problem, among others, with Entourage.
I notice there has been no answer to this, is there any chance of getting one?

the latest iCal no longer defaults to an all-day event on my system.
