Cursor disappears after fullscreen video.

After upgrading to Lion, my cursor started disappearing during fullscreen video playback and after I exit in iTunes, as well as VLC. Does it every time. Fullscreen video through Safari does not have this problem. I know the cursor should disappear initially, but when I want to use the popup controls or after I exit it still doesn't come back. I can restore the cursor by entering Mission Control.

Anybody else have this problem? Any fixes?

The video is also glitchy in iTunes Store when I'm watching a movie trailer. The lower left corner of the video is playing in the center of the video window, so I can only see a quarter of the video. Not 100% of the time, and sometimes it fixes itself after a few seconds. I usually enter fullscreen when this happens, which fixes the video position problem, but of course the cursor goes away. When the video ends, it kicks me out to the desktop and I have to swipe to view iTunes.

These problems happen both with the laptop alone and when it's connected to HDTV.

Mouse drag fix works, but this is an annoying bug. Apple, can you please fix?

I have the same exact problem. After upgrading to Lion, my mouse curser disappears everytime I exit any youtube videos watched in fullscreen mode. I have been using the quick drag fix trick but I guess we need a better solution!!

(update) This does not happen when I use Firefox or Safari. It does happen when I use Chrome

I am also having this issue as well with all my full screen apps. The cursor still move because icon can be selected in the dock and the drop drown menu within finder. I can simply not see the cursor on the screen. We have a magic trackpad and magic mouse both are equally affected.

I find that moving between full screen apps and the desktop sometimes resolved the issue or my escaping out of the full screen app.

I have found that right swiping (with two fingers) between full screen apps and the widget full screen appears to bring back the cursor.

Same problem for me, seems pretty random as to when it decides to happen, but right-clicking makes the cursor reappear, most of the time anyway 😝

Same problem on late 2006 MacBook 13" w latest OS,

4GB, 7200RPM HD, etc. Had no idea problem was so

widespread. It was actualy one of the reatioales I had

for gettng a new model. But I doubt it will make any

difference - although I will post if I can find a forum

for the 2102 refreshed MacBook.

Same problem on my new MacBook Pro Retina. The mouse dissappears as soon as I want to maximize youtube videos to a fullscreen window, using a second external monitor.

I've had this issue for a while also but I think I've finally resolved it. Looks like it may not be a Mac OS X issue but an Adobe Flash Player issue. Updating to the latest version (11.4) of Adobe Flash Player seems to have fixed it for me. Below is the link to the Flash Player download page, for your convenience:

The cursor will still disapper after a few seconds of inactivity when the video is in full screen mode but it will reappear immediately when you move the mouse.

Hope this resolves your issues as well.

Didn't help for me. I use chrome and chrome automatically updates to the latest version.
