Profiles Invalid Server

Hi

Have setup Profiles for users & devices

I can login to the server from devices to install the profile After installing the certificates

I can install the settings for everyone

I can NOT enrol the devices and I get the following Error after the password entry

NOTE: the certificates are Verified

The server certificate for https://mydomain/devicemanegment/api/device/ota_service is invalid

This is the same result on all devices iPad iPhones

On macs i get "The profile “Device Enrollment (com.apple.ota.mydomain.bootstrap)” could not be installed due to an unexpected error.

any Ideas

Have had success with installing profiles

All old certs & Profile config files were deleted from the device manager & from the *download* folder as each time you download it APPENDS -1-2 etc & causes issues Apparently.

All old certs & Profile config files were deleted from each of the devices IE:Macs "IOS devices" dont have them. including the server & then each one should be rebooted DONT forget the SERVER.

Install certs first on each device Then enroll.

If it stuffs up Try Again

2 IOS devices of mine took 2 goes

Worked for Me

I had this same issue, installed 10.7, updated to 10.7.3, and when I tried to enroll iOS devices, I would get the "

The server certificate for https://mydomain/devicemanegment/api/device/ota_service is invalid" error.

After reading through this discussion, I was still unable to get it to work, and had to leave it alone for about a week. After a week, I tried it again, and it worked. I'm able to enroll my devices without issue. Honestly, I haven't touched this server. I rebooted it a week ago, but even after that, I couldn't get my iOS devices to enroll.

I'm wondering if the problem with my certificate had to do with GoDaddy's certificate authority, not my server, and it took a while (few hours? a day? a week?) for them to update something on their end.

Also, I recommend "Managing iOS Devices with OS X Lion Server" by Arek Dreyer, available on the iBookstore: http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/managing-ios-devices-os-x/id455014665
