In order to upgrade to lion, do i need a track pad? I am using a magic mouse at the moment which i like very much. My imac 21.5" has a intel core processor i3. Which i think is suitable to upgrade to a lion i am not sure. My snow leopard is up to date. ( 10.6.8).

Magic Mouse is fine, that's what I have.
What you do need to be sure of is that you don't have any mission critical Power PC software, as it is not supported in Lion.
Also, make sure your print and scanner drivers will be Lion compatible.
Thankyou, the software that is most important to me is photoshop, ( i have elements 9), that won't be PC mission critical software will it? I don't have any printers or scanners yet.
Photoshop Elements 9 will work. That is not a Power PC App.
If Photoshop Elements is vital to what you do with the computer, then yes, it would be considered "mission critical". Elements 9 should be fine, though, from what I've read.
