This issue is something that the chaps at Cupertino have overlooked. The settings tab is the main access to the whole internal workings of this great device, mess it up a little and you are presented with a whole list of problems on how to figure out how to restore it to its original configuration.

I will explain...my cousin was using my ipad2 over the xmas hols and the prankster put a restrictions passcode on and now the fool doesnt remember what he put, too much Martell, so now my problem is I cannot get past this hurdle in order to remove the passcode. I have tried everything on the internet, forums and apple support but to no avail, and I am resinged to the fact that I have to do a complete restore and whipe the device clean.

I sincerely hope that apple will do something about this major security flaw and make the iPad2 the great device it should be from the beginning.

That does nothing other than to show how to put the Settings app in a folder to make it less obvious, and I suggested doing that over two years ago, so this is nothing new. And in my experience, kids quickly find the app even if it's in a folder, since most kids love to explore. If it helps you, great, but many parents have found that it doesn't.

Regards.
