Drag the application to the trash. It's really that easy! I love Apple's simplicity.
Hi
Uninstalling an application in Mac OS X is very easy, for most of the apps you can just drag them to the trash. But some apps might some other related files, to delete all of these you can use third-party apps like AppZapper.

Go to:
Dragging the Application Icon from anywhere else will not work.
The Icons of Applications in the (Finder > Applications) are actually the Application files.
If you right click an Applation in (Finder > Applications) and click 'Show Package Contents', all the files associated with the Application should be stored there.
So dragging the Application Icon in (Finder > Applications) to the Trash will uninstall it.
Just be careful what you throw away.
DO NOT TOSS AWAY anything in the utilities folder - You may regret it later.
If you have bought anything from the Mac App store , you can actually uninstall it in Launch Pad just as you would with an ios device.
Simply hold the left MOuse down on the app icon and its jiggles with a black circle in the top right hand corner containing an x . Click the x and its gone !
For some of the larger app such as those by Microsoft and Adobe you need to use the uninstaller supplied on the discs.
For the vast majority of applications the simple drag to the trash just works.
(This will leave a few very small files .plst and perhaps a receipt files but these really won't cause any harm)
App zapper does try toto clean up and collect these little files for you
I know it has been a while but thanks!
