I used the keyboard shortcut option T and it moved my photo to the right of the screen.  What keystroke do i use to get back to my image being centered?

The option "T" sets up the Viewer, so that stacks open automatically for comparison. The stack pick is set as the compare image.

If you want to turn it of, uncheck View > Main Viewer > Stack (or press Option-T).
