How do I stop all pop-ups?

The community support function used to work great. Now I don't know what is going on. I ask a question like the one above - how do I stop all pop-ups? - and then I get answers about FCP, Lion, iCal and anything but Safari. Is there a manual out on this yet? I wouldn't read it anyway.
