See Rambling Joe's response of Nov. 1, 2012. It is very clear, and, most importantly, it works.

Add to the above

4.a. Select Contact Sheet from the list of options in left column iin new window

4.b. Select paper size (below image)

5.a. OR, select "custom" and enter the size in inches of the print you want to make

Amend step 9 to read: Click on the arrows in teh "Photos Per Page" box to choose one of the three options, the third one being "Multiple of the same photo per page." iPhoto zooms in and crops the photo to fit the space available (though this step did not happen to my job). To make a photo full-frame, Control-ckick the phot, and then choose "Fit Photo to Frame Size" from the menu that appears.

For iPhoto 9.5 do the following:

1 - put the photo in an album and duplicate it as many times as the number of prints you want on a given page. This is assuming the page is US Letter (borderless).

2 - select all the prints and type Command+P (Print).

3 - in the next window select Paper Size to be US Letter (borderless).

4 - also, at the bottom of the window, select the aspect ratio and a custom size that will allow you to get all of the photos on one page.

This screenshot is for a photo that has a size ratio of 4:3, was duplicated 3 times and then printed with a custom size of 4x3 selected to get four prints on the page. You can experiment the custom size until you get the largest possible size for the 4 photos on the page.
