No sound through headphones

Have you tried other pairs of know-working headphones?

Have you tried the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset:

Reset iPod: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Restore from backup

- Restore to factory defaults/new iPad

If still a problem you likey have a hardware problem and the headphone jack needs replacing.

This may sound silly but if you are using the classic Apple iPad black case, the edge of the case may be blocking you from plugging in your headphones all the way in. Make sure your headphones are working in other devices also.
