Belkin F5D7000 compatible with G5 Powermac?

Belkin F5D7000 compatible with G5 Powermac?

I've just bought a belkin F5D7000 Wireless G Desktop Network Card and have been told that it should work with a G5 Powermac.

I've connected the hardware but the machine hasn't recognised it. Is there a download to install the Network card (an installer for os x did not come with the card)? I did try the Belkin website but couldn't find anything. I'm running OS 10.4 if thats helpful.

I'm not even sure whether this piece of hardware is compatible with the G5 Powermac, can anyone give me any answers

The support section Belkin site implies that from _V3 (version 3) that card comes with support for OS X 10.3.
Does your card, or the packaging, show a 'V' number after the part number?

The card doesn't come with any software for OS X, because OS X 10.2.6 or later should recognize it as a native Airport card.

Make sure your Airport software is up to date, and try running the Airport Setup assistant and/or Airport admin programs

Nothing I tried worked, gave up in the end and bought an airport card.
